In depression’s thrall,
it is hard to keep perspective
about your own awfulness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But please consider:
Have you committed genocide?
Are you worse than Hitler?
Do you aspire
to be THE MOST EVIL
of evildoers?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Will you study for years
to figure out the finest route to massacre?
Build a lair inside a volcano?
Shave your head,
get a cat to stroke malevolently,
and hold the world hostage to your whims?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That all sounds like an awful lot of work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Perhaps you might try the less complicated path
of being kind to yourself
instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
